No Bankruptcy. No loss of Dignity.
An Independent Voluntary
Arrangement is another term for an Individual Voluntary Arrangement,
or IVA.
An IVA is a debt
relief plan set up by the government of the day to eliminate personal
debt and to deal with the growing issue of individual insolvency. Our
clients are licenced to give Independent Voluntary Arrangement advice
and do so on the basis of the fact that IVAs were not designed to be
one-size-fits-all quick fixes to any money problem, because individual
situations can vary so much.
The needs of one
household may vary greatly from the needs of another. Any IVA advice
given must thus reflect the distinctiveness of the situation in which
people live.
Normally an IVA
will be set to run for sixty months and when the term has finished all
the debt is cleared from a person's record. During the time of the IVA
none of the creditors are allowed to harass or pursue the debtor in
any way. The IVA has all the benefits of bankruptcy while having none
of the drawbacks.
An instrument such
as this will write off the larger part of a person's debt at the start
of the plan (although be wary of the claims made in some advertising:
it is seldom more than 60 or 65% of total debt which can be 'written
off' in this way). All good IVA advice of this sort will make sure you
get the optimum results with the lowest repayment options together with
the highest proportion of debt written off.
So complete the
application form below for independent and impartial IVA advice for
your own circumstances.
Under recent
laws ratified by H.M. Government, Individual voluntary arrangements have
allowed personal debt to be much easier to deal with than in the past.
An Individual voluntary arrangement is an acceptable and easy alternative
to going bankrupt and carries none of the stigma. It is an excellent way
to deal with insolvency or bad debt issues. In accordance with government
rules, a well constituted IVA will write off up to sixty percent (occasionally
more) of your personal debt immediately. Your keen interest in an Independent
Voluntary Arrangement (also
known as an Individual Voluntary Arrangement or IVA) would be well rewarded
by the improvement in life quality brought about by its application.
In finding out about
Independent Voluntary Arrangements you
are putting yourself on the road to personal probity thereby efficiently
ensuring a new beginning. Choices made now will begin the transformation.
Independent
Voluntary Arrangements (also
known as an Individual Voluntary Arrangements or IVAs)
are usually configured to run for a 5 year span, although in some circumstances
it may be adjusted to suit personal needs. In Scotland, where such arrangements
are called trust deeds or protected trust deeds, the term is generally
three years but in some instances may be for four or five years. With
both the Individual voluntary arrangement and the protected trust deed
the debtor client is safeguarded from predatory creditors by the law
and all debts are completely and utterly cleared at the completion of
the period (however long that may be).
It is certainly true that
the careful use of debt consolidation IVA help may well help people
reorganise their busy lives and improve their overall sense of well
being. It is a carefully structured plan devised to help people like
you and me out of financial difficulties and ratified by government
and designed to complement the then rather harsh individual insolvency
rules that were in place largely since the previous century.
